Rumble Meet Format
All swimmers get four swims but may only swim each stroke once.
Points shall be awarded for first through fifth place as follows: 6-4-3-2-1. High point awards will be given to boys & girls in the following age groups: 6&Under, 7&8, 9&10, 11&12, 13&14, 15&Older.
Because the Wave Series scores five events at each meet, the Rumble Meet will shake things up with the Aggregated Quadathlon Medley.
Swimmers who select a different distance for each stroke will automatically have an aggregated Quadathlon Medley (QM) time generated as follows:
- 12 & Under 200 QM - [25 + 100 + 50 + 25]
- Open 375 QM - [200 + 100 + 50 + 25]
Points will be awarded for the QM events as described above.
Our goal is to encourage all swimmers to swim all strokes and try all distances by providing an opportunity for them to make informed strategic decisions about their event selection.

Streamline & Sprint Wave Series Rules
Athlete Eligibility
All athletes participating in Wave Series meets will follow current USA Swimming, Southeastern Swimming, and MAAPP rules.
Swimmers who provide a valid USA Swimming ID prior to competition will have their times uploaded to SWIMS and will be eligible for Southeastern Championship qualification. Racing start certification or in‑water starts are required as outlined by USA Swimming regulations.
Wave Series Scoring
Points are awarded to the top five finishers in each event as follows:
1st – 6 pts
2nd – 4 pts
3rd – 3 pts
4th – 2 pts
5th – 1 pt
Wave Series High Point Awards will be presented to the top three athletes in each age group based on cumulative points earned throughout the series. Series high pint awards will be given out based on the swimmer's age at the Tsunami meet.
Age Groups
Wave Series scoring and awards will be divided into the following age groups:
- 6 & Under
- 7–8
- 9–10
- 11–12
- 13–14
- 15 & Older
A swimmer’s age on the day of each meet determines their age group for that meet. Series high pint awards will be given out based on the swimmer's age at the Tsunami meet.
